AesMed Hair Care Day Campaign 2026
AesMed Co., Ltd., a company specializing in science-based hair loss care solutions in Korea, announced it will continue the 1111 Hair Care Day Campaign 2026, a non-profit public campaign aimed at raising social awareness of hair loss and supporting affected individuals.
AesMed designates November 11 every year as Hair Care Day, and observes the month leading up to it—from Oct. 11 to Nov. 11—as Hair Care Season. During this period, AesMed collaborates with hair loss clinics, medical professionals, academic researchers, patient groups, and related organizations to promote accurate medical knowledge, share professional insights, and support people affected by hair loss.
A Campaign That Began During the COVID-19 Pandemic
The 1111 Hair Care Day Campaign began in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, when AesMed started supporting children with alopecia areata through hair-prosthesis donations.
Since then, AesMed has expanded this initiative beyond a one-time charitable contribution. Through an official memorandum of understanding with the Korea Alopecia Areata Patient Association, the company established a system to provide customized hair prostheses free of charge to children and adolescents with urgent economic and emotional support needs.
Alopecia areata is an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss. For children and adolescents, visible hair loss often triggers severe emotional distress, lower self-confidence, and difficulties with peer relationships and school life. By providing custom-fit hairpieces tailored to each patient’s head shape and hair characteristics, AesMed aims to help young patients regain confidence and transition back into daily life comfortably.
2026 Campaign Message: “Healthy hair, healthy life”
The 2026 campaign will be carried out under the message “Healthy hair, healthy life.”
Through this message, AesMed emphasizes that hair loss is more than an aesthetic concern; it directly impacts overall quality of life, emotional well-being, and social confidence.
In 2026, AesMed plans to expand the scope of its social contribution efforts. Alongside its ongoing support for children and adolescents with alopecia areata, the campaign will place greater attention on bringing hope and support to breast cancer patients experiencing hair loss during treatment.
Hair loss caused during cancer treatment can bring not only physical changes, but also emotional burden and social discomfort. AesMed hopes the campaign will highlight the critical need for continued care, dignity, and emotional support for these patients.
From Korea to the World Through WCHR 2026
AesMed has steadily expanded the campaign through collaboration with key opinion leaders and video content in 2024, followed by strengthened cooperation with patient groups and online and offline communities in 2025.
Today, the campaign is growing into an international public initiative with interest and participation from medical institutions and professionals across Asia, Europe, and beyond—including China, Japan, Malaysia, Türkiye, and Azerbaijan.
In particular, the 14th World Congress for Hair Research (WCHR 2026), held in Seoul, South Korea, served as a key opportunity for AesMed to introduce the 1111 Hair Care Day Campaign to the global hair research and medical community.
At WCHR 2026, AesMed highlighted its core scientific solutions, including AGF39, SGF57, and CytoMesopecia—a cytokines-based mesotherapy approach. Alongside these technological advancements, the company shared the campaign’s public-minded message: that progress in hair science should ultimately foster deeper understanding and deliver meaningful support for patients.
Building Sustainable Solidarity for People Experiencing Hair Loss
Hair loss is increasingly recognized as a social and medical issue affecting emotional health, interpersonal relationships, and overall quality of life. Through the 2026 campaign, AesMed aims to encourage medical professionals, researchers, academic societies, patient groups, and related organizations worldwide to participate in patient-centered support and awareness activities.
Yi Jeongwoo, CEO of AesMed Co., Ltd., said, “Hair loss care should move beyond symptom management and toward understanding and supporting the whole life of the patient.” He added, “The 1111 Hair Care Day Campaign is built on public-minded values, not commercial purposes. We hope it will continue to grow as a platform where patients, medical professionals, researchers, and related organizations around the world can share empathy and take part together.”
He emphasized, “Through the 2026 campaign, we aim to bring hope and support not only to children and adolescents with alopecia areata, but also to breast cancer patients experiencing hair loss during treatment. We look forward to working with more global partners to spread accurate awareness and meaningful support for people affected by hair loss.”
AesMed will continue to promote hair loss awareness, patient support, knowledge sharing, and research collaboration through the 1111 Hair Care Day Campaign. The company envisions Hair Care Day becoming a valuable opportunity to encourage advancement of hair loss care technologies and cooperation among professional medical institutions.
As part of this effort, AesMed plans to further explore the clinical application potential of its solution, AGF39, while pursuing new possibilities in the hair loss care field through partnerships with professional medical institutions.
